The VIBE Spot

Hello Everyone,

As a new addition to our blog, I’d like to introduce “VIBE SPOT”. Each Thursday, you can expect a review, information, tips and even photos of a cool place from each coast – one from the East and one from the West. Think of it as a bi-coastal tidbit to put in your event arsenal. We will examine cities, parks, venues, indoor and outdoor locations, and more.

Let’s kick it off with  These are some “HOT Spots”  you might want to keep in mind when planning your next event.

Miami

Grass Restaurant and Lounge

An alfresco dining experience in a setting described as “sexy,” “tropical,” and “very unexpected.” The new remodelled restaurant, conveniently located in the design district for six years, Grass has a new executive chef, Micah Edelstein, who has created an amazing menu of eclectic cuisine—a culmination of flavors from around the world.

Edelstein has a way of taking global comfort food and making it fresh, healthy, and an artisanal creation. With each dish, be it bobotie or her reinvented macaroni and cheese she creates a level of comfort.

Another aesthetically pleasing restaurant, Grass has a full bar illuminated by a wall of apothecary jars brimming with colorful flora and a carpet of grass borders the dinning room.  Each sector of the restaurant /lounge is architectually detailed from the panelling on the walls to the assumption of privacy that is created in its open floor plan.

Las Vegas

Koi Restaurant

The Koi Restaurant , located in the Planet Hollywood Hotel has a seductive harmony of Asian design elements. It is all integrated in a floor plan that contains an exotic Eastern aura with a genuine sense of Hollywood energy and style.

The past owner of Koto a neighborhood sushi bar, Toshiaki Horiai is now having diners wow over his top-notch flavor infused dishes. The menu is inspired by traditional Japanese dishes infused with modern California accents. Menu stoppers you’re going to want to try are: the miso- bronzed black cod, kobe beef filet mignon, and one of their signatures the crispy white rice topped with spicy tuna.
