The Big Apple Does It Again…With Moving Imagery!

We are seriously on a mission to expand our catalog of great event locations.  We’ve found another one, this time in New York City.  If you haven’t heard about it, you might want to check it out.  Located in the growing area of Astoria (Queens), Museum of the Moving Image has recently undergone an extensive sixty seven million dollar renovation.

Museum of the Moving Image is the country’s only museum dedicated to the art, history, technique, and technology of the moving image in all its forms. The Museum is a one-of-a-kind destination for audiences of all ages and interests, from connoisseurs of classic cinema to children and families to avid gamers.

In addition to being a great event venue, their website offers a lot of useful and interesting  information.  You can find it here at

Astoria is located in the North-West corner of Queens above Long Island City—and just fifteen minutes from Midtown Manhattan.  It is a thriving and rapidly expanding neighborhood in New York City. Over the last 20 years, Astoria has developed a distinct personality shaped by its culturally diverse residents and rich history.

Flanked by other renowned cultural institutions, such as MoMA PS1, The Noguchi Museum, and the Fisher Landau Center for Art and green spaces such as Socrates Sculpture Park, Astoria Park, and Gantry Plaza State Park, the area around the Museum offers much of interest.

Featuring extraordinary new facilities, the transformed Museum of the Moving Image is a stunning setting to host private events. From small-scale to large parties, the Museum is able to accommodate a large range of events. All event fees help to support the Museum’s collections, services, and programs.

The Museum is available for:
