The “VIBE SPOT” Chicago

Destination: Chicago

Chicago is a city that has taken on an additional dimension as a center for business and finance and is listed as one of the world’s top ten Global Financial Centers. The city is the United States’ third-largest convention destination. Most conventions are held at McCormick Place, just south of Soldier Field. The historic Chicago Cultural Center (1897), originally served as the Chicago Public Library, now houses the city’s Visitor Information Center, galleries and exhibit halls. The ceiling of its Preston Bradley Hall includes a 38 ft (12 m) Tiffany glass dome. The infamous Grant Park holds Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain (1927), and the Art Institute of Chicago. The park also hosts the annual Taste of Chicago festival. In Millennium Park, there is the reflective Cloud Gate sculpture. Also, an outdoor restaurant transforms into an ice rink in the winter season. Two tall glass sculptures make up the Crown Fountain. The fountain’s two towers display visual effects from LED images of Chicagoans’ faces, along with water spouting from their lips. Frank Gehry‘s detailed, stainless steel band shell, the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, hosts the classical Grant Park Music Festival concert series. Behind the pavilion’s stage is the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, an indoor venue for mid-sized performing arts companies, including the Chicago Opera Theater and Music of the Baroque.

Cupcakes on Wheels: Product Alert!!

So they final did it…the process was long but they got their business on wheels and now if you havent already you must try-out  Flirty Cupcakes.

Having successfully navigated the stupid-restrictive permitting process that’s kept Chicago from fully enjoying gustatory truck treats, the husband & wife team behind Flirty have tricked their van into a roving dynamo of sugary goodness. The cupcakes are available in full-size or as a package of four minis, cup flavors include the cream-cheese & red velvet Devil in Disguise, the Coconut…Nuts! (vanilla-coconut cake with toasted coconut frosting), and the chocolate with Nutella ganache CBFF, aka Chocolate Best Friend Forever, so don’t treat it like no Ho-Ho. There’s also the chocolate chip/cream cheese filled McDreamy, the PB&C (chocolate with peanut butter ganache), and a banana-chocolate cupcake with salted caramel buttercream called the Curious George (though be careful when telling everyone your plan to go “buy Curious“).

Also, expect rotating weekly specials like Mother’s Day’s cream-filled vanilla cake with white chocolate/blackberry frosting — eat enough and there’s no denying everyone will look at you and see cow.
