You Want It We Got It! Finding the Right VIBE for YOUR Meetings and Events!

Last October, The VIBE Agency provided the event design, event management and production for Yamaha’s 2010 Latin American Distributors Meeting.  This annual conference at the Sofitel Miami brought together 70 representatives from most of its 54 markets in  Latin, South and Central America and the Caribbean.

The two day conference was a balanced mixture of best-practice sessions, networking, new product presentations and break-out workshops.  It was a time for Yamaha to share what had been happening with the company, future focuses as well as interact with their distributor’s to find out how the parent company could  be more efficient and understand distributor needs and barriers they face in their marketplace.

One of the biggest challenges we had for this meeting was to blend all of the cultures together in one design that worked for the varied cultures in attendance.  Since Yamaha is a Japanese company, we had to do the research to make sure the “dos and do nots” are respected for their executives.  One of the many things we did to ensure cultural protocol was to create a separate V.I.P. table in the presentation room, as Japanese culture dictates that executives sit separately.

Along with providing the meeting and conference coordination, we also handled the Yamaha new product display which featured new products that they wanted to introduce to the distributors.

In addition to the business meetings during the day, there were evening events as well.  The first night was a dinner cruise around Biscayne Bay.  A final night dinner was held at a Wish, an upscale restaurant in Miami Beach.

One of the things that I feel we did very successfully for this group was to understand their objectives and then ensure that every element of the conference worked interchangeably to meet those goals.

A very special thanks to Ricardo & his team (Ruben, Eric) for trusting us and allowing us the opportunity to work with them to create a successful Latin America Distributors Conference for Yamaha!

We love working with companies to create intelligent and sophisticated events with purpose.  We pride ourselves on our ability to work with our clients to deliver the best experience for their needs!

150 Years of Excellence

We did it again! Another out of this world event by the VIBE. Have you ever dreamed of a world that smoke rises from your drinks , where a Tesla car drives through stilt walker’s legs and where 150 years and history unveils itself.

Tag Heuer has been traveling the globe and celebrating their 150th anniversary. Without a doubt- they had to stop in the City of Miami Beach. Our great city was host to this luxury brand for a full week of outlandish activities, covering Brickell to SOBE.   It would be an understatement to say that  they left some tread marks behind.

The Tesla car that was revealed at the big event  at The Temple House, it was test- driven during the week by the members of the media. Seeing that beauty pull out of the Mondrian lot was mouth-dropping! The wave of the future- charging up your car every night before you go to bed. Its sleek lines and curves will have any guy ready to test this baby…but lets slow down there. A specimen this gorgeous is going to cost a fortune! So for now see if you can catch its next appearance in New York. Its final destination before heading back over to Europe.

Our Results

One night of pure entertainment, high energy, luxury styled living, and celebrity findings.

Things you may want to keep an eye out for this coming August. That’s right the color pallets are changing and so are the events. Here are a few things that are inspiring us for this month.

Color Trends

( In Fashion)

Blue. Blue is hot for . And you can find variation of it in multiple designer ranges. From light delicate blue to dark saturated and even midnight blue – this trend will work just perfectly for the fashion season.

Grey. There are colors that are ideal for certain weather. So, grey is a perfect option for rainy fall and muddy winter. This color trend is essential for the upcoming fashion season.

Green. Green is a color we miss a lot during cold months. So, a green coat or pants or anything will help you bring good memories of summer and spring. Try the green color trend and remind yourself of invigorating spring mornings!

Beige. This tone has always been a trend. It is perfect to combine with other colors and looks neat and sophisticated. When wearing this hue you look good no matter where you are. Beige is a top trend for Fall/ Winter 2010/2011!

Red. This color is the sexiest of all. Woman in red is certainly in the center of attention. And isn’t that what we all strive for?

Brown. Brown is neutral and this makes it a must-have for your wardrobe. Things in brown usually become staples and serve you for long. Thus, invest into a nice piece you will want to have forever.

Orange. Just like red and pink this hue is to brighten up you day…

“Like most humanoids, I am burdened with what the Buddhists call the ‘monkey mind’– the thoughts that swing from limb to limb, stopping only to scratch themselves, spit, and howl. From the distant past to the unknowable future, my mind swings wildly through time, touching on dozens of ideas a minute, unharnessed and undisciplined.”

Weddings In The Summer…

Colors Trending

These colors are classic for any beach/ summer wedding theme and most of the ideas for decor that you usually find will come from this palette , but we challenge you to try the colors from the second palette.

Stand-out- Summer- Wedding! Be unique and give your wedding that extra pop of color  it needs so you won’t get washed out with all of those neutrals.

Inspirations for Breaking Traditions

Walking Away from old Traditions in those Snazzy Shoes

By Molly Bermea 20 May, 2010

For the last 5-years wedding traditions have been melting away. Planning for the big day has become a lot more fun and has almost turned into a competition on being the most unique. We’ve got to lend credit to the many wedding-related TV reality series which cover anything from stress-crazed Bridzillas to dancing outside the box with Rock the Reception to the many cake related reality shows showcasing both wedding and non-wedding (Cake Boss, Ace of CakesAmazing Wedding Cakes). It’s not that incorporating unique elements into weddings is something new. It’s that more people are becoming aware of their options and that it is OK to do so. Be it your entire theme or just using funky little accessories here and there to add pizazz.

Try it-I dare you- and NOT HAVE A WHITE DRESS for your wedding. In some cultures it’s common not to have a white dress. Why not join in on all the fun and choose a color that best suits you! Click it to see what others have done- Do you Dare to try color?

Finding A Photographer

Check out the links to see full blogs and details for the photos-Nicole Caldwell, Natalie James, Andrea Carlyle, Green Wedding Shoes and The Flash Dance

Finding a photographer is very important for your engagement and wedding sessions. These are the memories that will be viewed and talked about for a long time.  Above is a collage of poses and locations that I thought were amazing.

Things you want to remember when getting ready for your close-ups!

  • Make Sure you are comfortable with your photographer
  • Choose an epic location
  • Always bring several different outfits
  • Mostly, have fun!

Having A Back-Up Plan!

With South Florida’s weather we know better than not to have a back-up plan . Miami’s summer climate means you never  know what to expect,  so you should always have a place where your guest can go to continue the party if the weather is not working in your favor.

Our number one pick of course is Tenting.  You’re able to still keep everyone in a semi-outdoor environment and there isn’t much grounds to cover to reach the safety of the tent.

Giving Back !

Wish Upon A Wedding is a non-profit organization that creates everlasting moments for individuals that are faced with a terminal illness. Help support someone’s  magical day by wearing a “Wishing Star” and giving towards the cause. The star is no bigger the a dime and of course it’s something blue. Want more information on how to help out?- Click Wishing Star.

Have we gotten you excited about weddings this season? Make sure you do your research before you start to plan anything and find an event planner that fits you and fully embodies your ideas.

Bastille Day: French Independence Day

Of course here at The Vibe Agency we would share the news and the joy of the Bastille Day!!

Brief History

Today is the 130th anniversary of the France’s National Holiday “Bastille day”.

  • 14 July is the French national day, simply called Fête nationale or 14 juillet (though it is generally referred to as Bastille Day in English). Many cities hold fireworks during the night. It is also customary that firefighters organise dancing parties (bals du 14 juillet).
  • The day officially celebrates the 1790 Fête de la Fédération, though it is often associated, even in France, with the Storming of the Bastille.
  • Military parades are held on the morning of 14 July, the largest of which takes place on the Champs-Élysées avenue in Paris in front of the President of the Republic.
  • The parade opens with cadets from certain schools (École Polytechnique, Saint-Cyr, École Navale, and so forth), then other infantry troops, then motorised troops; aviation of the Patrouille de France flies above. In recent times, it has become customary to invite units from France’s close allies into the parade; for instance, in 2002, cadets from the United States Military Academy paraded.
  • The parade also involves the French Republican Guard, and occasionally (non-military) police units; it always ends with the much-cheered and popular Paris Fire Brigade (which, exceptionally, has military status in France). Traditionally, the students of the École Polytechnique set up some form of joke.
  • The president then gives an interview to members of the press, discussing the situation of the country, recent events and projects for the future. He also holds a garden party at the Palais de l’Elisée.
  • Bastille Day also falls during the running of the Tour de France, and is traditionally the day upon which French riders will make a special effort to take a stage victory for France.

Things To Think About

So feel like getting in the mood here are some great ideas and recipes to use Bastille Day Recipes and don’t think that we haven’t been on the look out for some decor ideas as well. This woman took it into her own hands and created a cool event ( Fete Et Fleur), see what you like and go from there.

What Are We Doing

Celebrating of course!!!  We saved some Sparklers from the 4th of July and cracked open a bottle of wine.

Happy Independence Day and Vive La France !
