The World Is Our Playground

Even though The V!be Agency is a Miami based event planning company, we work all over the world.  Last week found us in Japan and Arizona.  Yes, the destinations are a world apart, but they both had one thing in common.  They had the V!be Agency at the helm of their events.

 How do we do it?  We have a strategic network of partner suppliers, vendors and event specialists all over the world.  We love to collaborate and team up with other reliable and high quality industry leaders. Being a part of an event community is one of the things that we appreciate about being involved in the MICE industry.  Trust us when we say it never gets boring.  In fact, working all over the world keeps us excited and on the forefront of new trends and emerging technologies.  Another benefit of being so closely aligned with a network of international and domestic event specialists is that it allows us to produce events with affordable pricing and local talent all over the world.  In exchange, our clients have and expert event professional producing their events that they know will provide them with the same quality and expertise they get in their own backyard.  The world really IS our playground!

We love to let you in on the creative events that we produce, so this week, we thought we would start here at home and give you a taste of the Wild, Wild West party that we produced in Arizona for a longtime client.  We met them in Miami and now we go where they go.  This time, they had been at a conference all week, and one of the evenings they wanted to invite their top clients to the Canyon Creek Ranch outside of Phoenix and show them some true western style hospitality.

 

Guests were picked up from their hotels and bussed to the sprawling ranch nestled at the foothills of the Bradshaw Mountains. Canyon Creek Ranch has access to over 400,000 rugged acres of land in the Agua Fria National Monument.

The evening featured authentic cowboy games, private skeet shooting, world famous horseback rides, and a variety of unique experiences.

Guests dined from buffets laden with great western styled BBQ!  It was simply delish!

The best part of the evening was that we delivered exactly what our client was looking for:  A true western experience that allowed them to spend some quality time with their top clients.

Our client trusts us, and we travel with them wherever they go with their event each year.   They said it best after the event when they sent us this thank you note.

Go Dome for the Holidays!

With autumn in full swing, my mind automatically turns toward the holidays, and all of the social gatherings that are a part the “season.”  As always, we are looking for unique ideas for clients seeking to create an experience that fits in with the holidays and remains inclusive of all traditions.  We love these new Party Domes that allow for an avant-garde encounter and can be customized in many different ways.  Check it out.

 We can think of several different ideas for which we can use these great “domes.”   They are 25’ diameter and 11’ tall at the center.  They are constructed from steel and aluminum with a clear polycarbonate shell.  They are waterproof and quick to set up.  They can withstand up to 150 mph wind load and hold up to 75 guests each depending on layout.  They are so versatile they can be used indoors or outdoors.

Can You Speak Japanese? Me either.

日本! (JAPAN!)

I’m SO EXCITED!!  Can you tell?  While I don’t really have my Japanese writing skills down to perfection and rely on computer translations, I have been trying to learn some basic words so that at least I don’t go one way when I’m supposed to go the other.

Since I’m going to be in Japan for a project, what better to showcase on V! Blog than the newly renovated Marunouchi side of Tokyo Station that just reopened on October 3rd?  It’s just beautiful!  Let’s take a look…

This hotel, situated inside a nationally designated important cultural property, is close to the Otemachi/Marunouchi business area as well as the Ginza shopping area. Its location offers convenient access by domestic transportation as well as by the Narita Express and Airport Limousine from Narita Airport for international transportation; in addition, it is just 30 minutes from Haneda Airport via the Tokyo Monorail and JR lines.
 The hotel’s interior design refurbished and it has 150 guest rooms (23-173 m²), restaurants with a pursuit of authenticity including those offering French (yippee!), Japanese, Chinese and Italian cuisine, a lobby lounge, café, bar, and more.

There is also a lovely fitness center and spa where I can go after I indulge in all the wonderful cuisine that I’m planning on enjoying.

There are three event and meeting rooms in varying sizes and can  handle various types of business events including cocktail receptions and seminars.

The Tokyo Station Hotel is located in Central Tokyo and is surrounded by numerous attractions including the Imperial Palace, Marunouchi business area and Ginza luxury shopping district.

The hotel’s rich history, convenient location near the train station, and luxurious accommodations and amenities make it the premier destination for both business and leisure guests.

The area around Tokyo Station will be one of the hottest spots to look out for in October with its new look and I get to be there to take a peek.  Can life get better than this?

I’m really looking forward to this adventure that will allow me to experience a beautiful country and all that it has to offer.

Award Winning Event!

We are very proud and excited that in partnership with The VIBE agency, our client won an Esprit Award for Best Creative Solution!  It shows that we partner not only in creative exchanges, professional and original business solutions, but also in great success.

 Our job is to create emotions, conduct events for our clients in an original, unique and well-executed manner.  When Red Velvet Events won the award for our collaborative effort, we knew that we’d achieved the goal.

 The Esprit Awards if you are unfamiliar with them recognize International Special Events Society (ISES) members who have excelled in their respective event field throughout the year. The awards offer multiple categories that represent the different disciplines within the events industry and are a worldwide award designation.

 We are very pleased about the recognition rendered to RED VELVET EVENTS, INC. and hope that many other customers of The VIBE Agency will be honored through events organized in conjunction with us.

 

 Here are some highlights from the award-winning event that we produced with our client, Red Velvet Events!

 Rocking Out At The Orange Bowl

 In January, we had the opportunity to put together a hospitality event for Red Velvet Events at the Orange Bowl and boy did we have a blast with it!  The client loved Stanford and they loved rock and roll.  Our mandate?  Rock the Orange Bowl!  The evening was full of rock and roll, good food, great drinks and lots of fun!  Click here to find out more about what we did!

The Righteous Venue:

It doesn’t get cooler than the W Hotel brand and The Great Hall. The stylish, urban luxury gave way to a whole other experience.   It was unexpected and left guests talking about the evening long after they left.

 The ‘No Duh’ Event Design

 Remember the 80’s?  Big hair, parachute pants, Rubik’s cubes, tight, tight black jeans, Top Gun, concert t-shirts and hair bands…those were the righteous days of the 80’s and we brought it back to life just for this event.

 Getting past Security wasn’t an option unless you had the VIP All Access “Stanford Rocks” Super VIP Wristband and they were in short supply. After all, it was the hottest ticket in town during the Orange Bowl.

 The entryway to the event was “backstage”.  Lighting cases, trussing and a custom logoed ice luge held hints of what awaited them inside the ballroom.  Guests were transported back to the days of the 80’s metal bands when big hair and parachute pants were totally tubular.  Welcome to an evening where rock and roll reigns supreme.

 The feel was dark and sexy. Lighting was dramatic and architectural with deep, striking hues of red and electric purple accented with highlights shooting through the darkness and washing up walls.  A high energy DJ in a corrugated metal booth hyped the crowd from the moment they entered the room.

 Comfortable and sleek groupings of large ottomans finished off with custom Stanford Rocks! pillows created areas for the fans to chill before the righteous Steel Panther show began. Chrome and glass cube tables finished off each grouping and provided a place for guests to set a drink or a plate.

 The stage was the focal point of the room and why wouldn’t it be with the Steel Panthers taking the stage for a rocking concert?  The backdrop was shaped from brushed aluminum panels held in place with truss pillars and lit with electric blues, purples and red.

 The dull roar of the crowd upped to fever pitch as the Steel Panthers took the stage for a night of seriously amped up rock and roll!  As they used to say in the 80’s….it was one ‘bad’ evening.

 But that was just the beginning…

After catching a short nights sleep after rocking out to the Steel Panthers the night, before, we picked the guests up by bus and headed to the Orange Bowl where we’d set up a private clearspan tent and created a Stanford Rocks tailgate party inside.

 

The look was modern and minimalistic and set with touches of Stanford (guess who the client was cheering for?) throughout.  Centerpieces were square containers with wheatgrass and finished with custom Stanford helmets.  Around the area, small groupings of lounge furniture with custom Stanford Rocks pillows provided comfortable hang out spots for the guests to party. Servers and walking buffets were costumed in umpire outfits.

 Food was stadium themed fare complete with hamburgers and hotdogs…and beer along with a full premium bar.  It was a serious tailgate party after all.

 During the early event, a DJ rocked revved up the guests…but then who else better to bring before the game but Bon Jovi?  And hype them up he did.  After the performance guests were escorted to game box suites to cheer on Stanford.  The only thing better than the experience, was that Stanford won the Orange Bowl which absolutely took it over the top!!!!  Go Stanford go!!!!
